Privacy Notice on Processing Personal Data
This notice explains how personal data shared through Gencay Electric contact and project inquiry forms is processed under Turkish Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698.
1. Data Controller
Your personal data is processed by Gençay Elektrik ve İnşaat San. Tic. Ltd. Şti. as data controller.
2. Personal Data Processed
Through contact and project inquiry forms, we may process your name, surname, email address, company name, project country, project type, required electrical scope, project brief and information included in technical documents you choose to share.
For website security, limited technical records such as IP address, transaction time, browser information and Cloudflare Turnstile verification result may also be processed.
3. Purposes of Processing
- Receiving, reviewing and responding to your project inquiry,
- Communicating about technical documents, BOQ, DWG and electrical supply scope,
- Carrying out technical pre-review, quotation and procurement coordination processes,
- Maintaining information security, spam prevention and legal compliance.
4. Legal Grounds
Your data may be processed under Article 5/2 of Turkish Law No. 6698 where processing is directly related to establishing or performing a contract, necessary for legal obligations, necessary for the establishment, exercise or protection of a right, or based on legitimate interests without harming your fundamental rights and freedoms.
5. Transfers
Your data may be shared, limited to the relevant purpose, with authorized company personnel, technical/supply partners where required, legal and financial advisors, authorized public institutions and service providers for website hosting, security and email delivery infrastructure.
Some technical data may be processed through service providers located abroad for website infrastructure, security verification and email delivery.
6. Collection Method and Retention
Your data is collected electronically through website forms, email, phone, online communication channels and project documents. It is retained for the period required for the processing purposes, taking the relevant inquiry and statutory limitation periods into account.
7. Your Rights Under KVKK
Under Article 11 of Law No. 6698, you may request information about your personal data, learn whether it is processed, learn the purpose of processing, request correction if it is incomplete or inaccurate, request deletion or destruction under applicable conditions and exercise other rights provided by law.
